Junior Risk Associate

Role and Responsibilities

The junior risk associate will assist senior risk personnel and will be responsible for:

  • Evaluate risks in portfolio decisions.
  • Monitor the investment restrictions on a regular basis.
  • Project potential losses and make recommendations to limit risk through diversification and other investment strategies.
  • Prepare and draft risk reports.
  • The candidate will contribute in helping clients minimize or eliminate financial risks that could be detrimental towards their business goals.

Qualifications

The candidate will:

  • Have (or in the process of obtaining) a B.Com (Hons) in Banking and Finance, Mathematics or Statistics or equivalent.
  • Be eager to learn and grow.
  • Have a good eye for detail.
  • Already have exposure to the finance industry with some background knowledge in risk management, financial markets and financial instruments.
  • Knowledge of EU and local regulations is considered an asset.

Junior Compliance Associate

Role and Responsibilities

The Compliance Associate will:

  • Assist the Head of Compliance in the day-to-day running of the compliance activities.
  • Undertake compliance checks with Head of Compliance on clients whilst ensuring that established time-frames are constantly met.
  • Carry out client screening investigations and escalating any issues as appropriate.
  • Dealing with requests and enquiries received from regulatory and law enforcement authorities.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of compliance policies and procedures.
  • Liaise with clients.

Senior Risk Associate

Role and Responsibilities

The Senior Risk Associate will:

  • Assist in the planning, development and implementation of assigned activities and programs associated with risk management for RiskCap’s clients.
  • Be involved in the evaluating of risks in portfolio decisions.
  • Be able to demonstrate leadership skills to manage a team of junior risk analysts, excellent problem solving skills and judgment, possess exceptional integrity and ambiguity tolerance, and build strong partnerships with both technical and non-technical colleagues.

Qualifications

The candidate will:

  • Ideally have 2-3 years’ experience with proven analytical skills in risk management and/or audit in fund management.
  • Have good reporting and client facing skills.
  • A tertiary degree in Finance, Mathematics or Economics is considered an asset.
  • Knowledge of the AIFMD, UCITS and local fund regulations is essential.
  • Eager to succeed and become a Risk Manager for a number of clients.

Senior Compliance Associate

Role and Responsibilities

The Senior Compliance Associate will:

  • Assist the Head of Compliance provide day-to-day support in the development, implementation and maintenance of compliance programs for a variety of clients including, but not limited to, Fund Managers, Funds, MiFID and Financial Institutions:
  • Development and implementation of compliance policies and procedures – ensure compliance policies and procedures are effectively communicated to client, in accordance with the Firm’s regulatory requirements
  • Conduct annual compliance reviews;
  • Prepare and deliver compliance training;
  • Prepare and submit quarterly compliance reports;
  • Monitor personal trading and electronic communications;
  • Prepare and maintain employee disclosure forms and assist client in organization and maintenance required books and records;
  • Continuously monitor relevant regulatory changes and assist clients in developing internal controls, accordingly.
  • Assist in conducting onsite compliance visits;
  • Assist regulators during their onsite visits;
  • Proactively provide practical, business friendly solutions for esoteric regulatory issues.

Qualifications

The candidate will:

  • A tertiary degree in finance services required;
  • 3 years business related experience in financial services compliance;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
  • Thorough understanding of, and experience with, compliance program development and maintenance;
  • Strong, independent self –starter, as well as collaborative problem solver;
  • Strong research skills;
  • Ability to multi-task across a range of projects with constantly shifting priorities;

Marketing Associate

Role and Responsibilities

The selected candidate will be reporting to the Managing Director and will be performing the following duties amongst others to:

  • Assist the Managing Director in the planning and communication of information designed to keep customer groups and potential customer groups informed of the company’s products and services.
  • Assist the Managing Director in the development of the yearly marketing plan followed by its implementation, monitoring and reporting.
  • Keep updated on developments in marketing and public relations.
  • Organize and coordinate events and other activities.
  • Coordinate with the Managing Director all promotional activity within the company’s retail environment
  • Develop, revise, update and proofread all marketing material
  • Ensure a high quality / standard of work and service throughout.
  • Perform any other duties that may be assigned from time to time.
  • Monitor and ensure that the company’s online presence are up to date.

Qualifications

The candidate will:

  • Ideally have 12 years’ experience in marketing involving consultancy services.
  • Have good reporting and client facing skills.
  • Be creative and innovative.
  • Have the ability to express thoughts clearly and simply.
  • Be confident with numbers.
  • Be a good communicator.
  • Interact well with people at all levels.
  • Be able to coordinate a number of activities concurrently.
  • Be able to work on his / her own initiative.
  • Have satisfactory verbal and written communication skills (English and Maltese). Other languages will be considered an asset.
  • Have a can do attitude, be organized and possess an eye for detail.
  • An education background in Marketing is considered an asset.
